Artist's Comments

This is my first attempt at a native design. One of the local schools asked me to design their logo and this is one of the 3 submissions. After I got done with it, I thought it might look cool as a tat so that is why it is listed as it is.

By the way, this is done traditionally. No photochop.

Bristol 9x12
Micron 02,08, and permanent marker.

The native people around that area did have brilliant designs. And you did a great job replicating it. =)

awesome. i would love something like this tattooed on the back of my neck or something. and i'm really impressed that you didn't ';photochop' it. i'm so sick of computer art. this is a nice break from photoshop and illustrator.

Thank you. I was hoping it didn't reflect bad on the native artisans.

I guess I did good if you would consider it for a tat. When it comes to inking, I am old school. Its much more relaxing than point and click.

i agree. and when you make a mistake on the computer, everything else gets thrown off, too. i much prefer working traditional.

I wouldn't think so. =) It's a rather famous style, and by artists replicating it for such purposes would be an honour in my opinion.
